There's a movement afoot on Facebook to draft Martha Dean as a candidate for U.S. Senate.
"We are a large group of long-time supporters of Martha Dean who believe that she is the most qualified candidate that the citizens of Connecticut can elect to the United State Senate in 2012,'' the group's information page states. "Martha is a staunch defender of the Constitution, and she will serve us well at this critical moment in our nation's history."
Dean, a Republican, ran for attorney general in 2010; she lost to democrat George Jepsen.
The Facebook campaign currently has 50 "likes." By comparison, Draft Olbermann for Senate (the Facebook movement promoting Keith Olbermann as a potential Senate candidate from Connecticut) has 3,029 "likes."
