Among the throngs at the Capitol listening to Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's budget address was Republican U.S. senate candidate Linda McMahon.
After the speech, the former World Wrestling Entertainment CEO stood outside the Hall fo the House, chatting with lawmakers and state officials including Attorney general George Jepsen and posing for pictures with wrestling fans.
She praised Malloy for "staying committed to his goals,'' but refrained from offering her opinion on the governor's policy prescriptions.
McMahon said she was going to "leave the commentary to Mr. Cafero and the others.''
She didn't say much about her own political plans, including whether she plans to run again for Senate in 2012.
"I'm getting a lot of encouragment, I'm getting a lot of calls from all around the state I'm certainly considering it but have not made any final [decisions],'' she said.
McMahon did not return to her post at WWE but she says she's staying busy. "I'm still going to a lot of different meetings around the state, Theres still a lot of things to do...I'm encouraged by meeting with small business people...I've always been passionate about education and creating jobs.''
