Gov. Dannel P. Malloy visited ESPN this week, and company officials were happy to say that its well-known sports magazine will be moving 125 jobs this year to the main headquarters in Bristol.
The move received attention on the radio Wednesday morning, but it actually is a reiteration of an announcement previously made last July.
Employees at ESPN The Magazine were told in early July 2010 that the magazine's operations would be moved when the company's lease expires in midtown Manhattan - the epicenter of the publishing world. The jobs are expected to be moved to Bristol by September.
