State Rep. Matthew Lesser, D-Middletown, was home on Feb. 7, 2010, and he heard his windows rattle.
It's been more than a year since the Kleen Energy power plant explosion, but Lesser said his neighbors still worry. The explosion killed six people, and residents are still concerned about their safety, said Rep. Christie Carpino, R-Cromwell.
To ease worries and to improve power plant safety, the House of Representatives unanimously voted Thursday in favor of a bill that would enact safety recommendations made by a state panel, the Thomas Commission.
