One of the more controversial taxes this year was the so-called Amazon tax on online sales.
Now, Overstock.com says it is pulling out of the Connecticut market because of the sales tax on online sales.
Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's tax commissioner, Kevin B. Sullivan of West Hartford, had warned that collecting the online sales tax would be difficult because of opposition by various companies and a high-profile lawsuit in New York State that is challenging the law as a test case that could eventually go to the U.S. Supreme Court.
