The State Employees Bargaining Agent Coalition isn't commenting on the labor agreement vote that wrapped up yesterday but several individual unions have posted results on their websites.

Late last night, Council 4 of the American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees, or AFSCME, confirmed what had already leaked out: Council 4's bargaining units had all approved the agreement.

"Voting took place Aug. 15-16, with every one of our state local unions supporting both the SEBAC and contract agreements,'' a statement on Council 4's website said.

Council 4 includes bargaining units representing administrative-clerical workers, corrections officers and human services workers as well as judicial and higher education employees.

SEBAC leaders are gathering this morning to officially ratify the results of the voting, which took place over the span of about three weeks and concluded yesterday.

The group will hold a press availability at 12:30 to announce the results to the public. Gov. Dannel P. Malloy is also expected to make a statement on the pact's ratification later today at 1:30 this afternoon at the Capitol.
