Jeff Hathaway appears to be out as the athletic director at the University of Connecticut, according to various reports.
Hathaway was a well-known figure at the state Capitol - from being in the hallways when UConn was trying to build Rentschler Field to answering questions about the home-field arrangements when UConn was thinking about playing Notre Dame in football. UConn has since defeated the Fighting Irish in South Bend, Indiana, but no games between the two teams are scheduled for this upcoming season.
