Democrats will continue to hit Linda McMahon on her WWE connection

If this morning's press release from the state Democratic party is any indication, Linda McMahon's political opponents aren't veering too far from the line of attack they used against her in 2010.

The party slammed McMahon as a "multimillionaire who made her fortunes selling sex and violence to children and spent $50 million trying to buy a U.S. Senate seat last year.''

McMahon hasn't even officially declared her intention to run for again in 2012 but already state Democratic Chairwoman Nancy DiNardo is striking out.

"Connecticut households haven't even gotten rid of the last batch of Linda McMahon mailings; now they can look forward to a whole new round as she tries to buy another Senate seat," DiNardo said in an email.

Not that the Democratic party has warm feelings toward one of McMahon's likely GOP opponents, former Congressman Chris Shays.

"After voters rejected Chris Shays because of his constant support of the Bush Administration's failed policies, Shays skipped town and moved to the Maryland suburbs,'' DiNardo said.

"Connecticut voters have said no to Linda McMahon. They've said no to Chris Shays. They just apparently haven't gotten the message, and neither has the Connecticut Republican Party, which remains completely out-of-touch with Connecticut voters."
