Peter Schiff isn't the only candidate celebrating a place on the Aug. 10 primary ballot.

Republican congressional candidates Rick Torres and Rob Merkle, both running in the 4th District, and Mark Greenberg, running in the 5th, have all submitted enough signatures to qualify for the GOP primary, according to the Secretary of the State's office.

The following legislative candidates also qualify:

*Ed Vargas, a Democrat running for state Senate against the party-endorsed John Fonfara

*Democrat Terry Schmitt of West Hartford, who is challenged the party's choice, Brian Becker for the 19th House District

*Republican Michael Zelasky, running against the party-endorsed candidate, Helmut Reinholtz, in the 45th House district

Probate judge candidates Matt Jalowicz, Michael Murray and Paul Rubin also qualified for the primary in their respective districts.
