Rumors were flying today that Gov. M. Jodi Rell was set to make a public endorsement of Linda McMahon.
Not true, says Rell's spokeswoman. The governor did introduce McMahon to the crowd at today's Brad Davis Listener Luncheon. She called McMahon her friend, but also made it clear that she was not making an official endorsement until after the Aug. 10 primary.
"Consistant with what she's said all along, she's not going to endorse anyone,'' said Donna Tommelleo, a spokeswoman for Rell.
