Paul Begala, a nationally known commentator through his work as a political contributor on CNN, will be the headliner Thursday at a fundraiser for Democrats in Hartford.
Begala will be at Hot Tomato's at Union Place, adjacent to the Hartford train station.
Begala will appear with U.S. Rep. John B. Larson, the fourth-highest ranking Democrat in the U.S. House of Representatives, and Dannel Malloy, the Democratic Party's nominee for governor. They will be joined by state comptroller Nancy Wyman, who is running for lieutenant governor on the ticket with Malloy.
The private reception starts at 5:30 p.m. and costs $1,000 per person. Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. and costs $250 per person.
The fundraiser is for the Democratic State Central Committee's federal account.
