A worker for a company that cleans and maintains the state Capitol has been charged in connection with the theft of $2,600 worth of razors.
John Cruz of Hartford was charged on a felony count of third-degree larceny after a detailed investigation into the loss of the razors, which had been slated to be delivered to U.S. service personnel overseas, according to Capitol Police Chief Walter E. Lee, Jr.
Cruz is a well-known worker at the Capitol for Guardian Services, whose employees are involved in everything from fixing the air conditioning and heating to general maintenance in the Legislative Office Building.
