In one of many expected cancellations this week, the state House of Representatives and the state Senate will not meet Wednesday because of the approaching snowstorm.
The 151-member House and the 36-member Senate will both instead convene in session at 12 noon Friday.
Lawmakers had been scheduled to vote on a series of appointments, including re-nominations of judges to the state Superior Court. The House calendar currently includes 14 nominations, including the naming of former Democrat lawmaker John Geragosian of New Britain and former House Republican leader Robert Ward of North Branford to serve as the two state auditors.
No decision had been made as of 4:30 p.m. Monday on whether the state would postpone Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's first meeting of the State Bond Commission that is scheduled for Wednesday morning.
