Democratic and Republican lawmakers and staffers will face off against one another at a benefit softball game tomorrow night.

The first pitch will be thrown at 6 p.m. at Mill Woods Park in Wethersfield. Proceeds will be donated to Connecticut Childrens Medical Center.

The Democratic team will be managed by state Rep. Matt Ritter of Hartford; the Republicans will be led by state Rep. Sean Williams of Watertown. Other elected officials expected to play include state Reps. James Albis, David Kiner, Michelle Cook, Roland Lemar, Jason Rojas, Chris Davis and Rob Sampson.

WFSB sports Director Joe Zone will call the game and FOXCT's Laurie Perez, host of the Sunday public affairs program, "The Real Story," will preside over the post-game ceremony and trophy presentation.

The National Anthem will be sung by Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's Non-Profit Liaison, Deb Heinrich and the mid-game stretch will feature performances by legislative staffers Brie Johnston and Maureen Urso. Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman and Wethersfield Mayor Donna Hemmann will throw out bi-partisan first pitches.
