Ned Lamont Surprises Crowd By Singing Bob Marley's "Get Up, Stand Up'' At Bloomfield's West Indian Celebration

Longtime Democratic union activist Leo Canty notes that Ned Lamont surprised the crowd at Bloomfield's West Indian celebration by singing Bob Marley's famous "Get Up, Stand Up'' tune.

The song has been played in honor of the late Marley for years, including by the Rolling Stones in their outdoor show at Rentschler Field in East Hartford.

Lamont is running in the August 10 gubernatorial primary against former Stamford Mayor Dannel Malloy.
