The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is reportedly spending at least $75 million on ads in the 2010 election cycle and some of that money has already found its way to Connecticut.

This week, the business group has begun running a spot targeting Democrat Richard Blumenthal and his "job-killing lawsuits."

"We hear from our small business members about the impact and consequences of frivolous lawsuits so that's what we're trying to highlight,'' said J.P. Fielder, spokesman for the Chamber. "Our ads are going to focus on economic issues and how they're goign to impact job-creation."

Fielder would not disclose how much the ad buy is, saying only that it is "significant."
