World Wrestling Entertainment CEO Vince McMahon has extended an invitation to First Lady Michelle Obama, who is visiting Connecticut Monday.
"Given President Obama's previous appearance on 'Monday Night Raw', and WWE's dedication to giving back to the community we welcome the opportunity to speak candidly with the First Lady and educate her about WWE's initiatives that focus on children and families," McMahon said in a press release issued late Friday. "We hope to learn more from the First Lady about the important initiatives she is leading."
Mrs. Obama will be speaking at an event for Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Richard Blumenthal at the Palace Theater in Stamford, not far from WWE's Stamford corporate offices. By the way, McMahon's wife, Linda McMahon, is running against Blumenthal.
UPDATE: THe Blumenthal campaign just released a copy of Mrs. Obama's official schedule. Not surprisingly, there's no stop listed for Titan Tower.
