Nationally known commentator Arianna Huffington will be speaking in Connecticut on the day after the crucial mid-term elections next week.
Well-known for her television appearances and as co-founder of the Huffington Post, Huffington has been named to Time Magazine's list of the 100 most influential figures in America.
Her appearance will be on the day after all 435 seats in the U.S. House of Representatives are up for election, as well as numerous seats for the U.S. Senate. In Connecticut, Democrat Dick Blumenthal and Republican Linda McMahon are battling for the Senate, while Democrat Dannel Malloy and Republican Tom Foley are running for governor.
She will be speaking to the Middlesex County Community Foundation at Saint Clements Castle on Route 66 in Portland at 7 p.m. Tickets are $85 per person and seating is limited.
